Celebrating the Christmas Story 12/28

Today, I am still celebrating the Christmas Story.  Today, I am celebrating Mary's awe and response to this amazing story she hears from the shepherds.  Can you imagine?  You are a new mother and you are awaken by a group of shepherds, who tell you this fanciful story of being on a hillside and suddenly, an Angel appears and then a choir.  All to tell them:  you had a baby.

I'm sure this confirmed several things she had wondered about.  After all, it had been 9+ months since Gabriel's visit to her.  Faith is easiest 2.5 seconds after the miraculous event.  It is much more difficult to have "faith" after 50 people in your life, especially the 5 closest to you have said "Are you crazy?  Really?"

Here is to having faith, even when it looks impossible.

Luke 2:17 When they had seen him, they told what the angels had said about this child. 18 Everyone was amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured these things and continued to think about them. 20 Then the shepherds went back to their sheep, praising God and thanking him for everything they had seen and heard. It had been just as the angel had told them.
